Aggreko to Power the NCAA’s Men’s Final Four Celebrations

Aggreko is also the Official Temporary Energy Services Supplier for the Toronto 2015 Pan Am/Parapan American Games being held in Canada this summer.

Aggreko will provide temporary power for the ninth consecutive year to local festivities surrounding the NCAA Men’s Final Four. The 2015 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship national semi-finals and national championship will take place on April 4th and 6th at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN. The NCAA March Madness Music Festival is the kick-off celebration, held in White River State Park, and Aggreko will power the entire event.

Aggreko is providing almost 10 miles of cable and 4 MW of electricity, enough to continuously power 400 average-size homes for one week. Over the course of 21 days, a team of technicians will manage the preparation, safe installation, and dismantling of all equipment at respective events.

Aggreko is also providing its environmentally-friendly Tier 4i generators, incorporating the latest engine technology available with 80% lower emission levels.  Units range from 30 kW to 500 kW and will be monitored 24/7 via Aggreko’s Remote Monitoring (ARM) service, which transmits real-time data from the equipment to Aggreko’s Remote Operating Center (ROC). The team at ROC is able to proactively anticipate, diagnose and solve any potential equipment issues that might occur.

When musical stars such as multi-platinum artist Rihanna, Imagine Dragons, Lady Antebellum and many others step on the stage to perform, it will be Aggreko powering the event. Aggreko has a long-standing industry experience providing large-scale power generation and heating and cooling for high-profile sporting and entertainment events around the world.

“We continue to hold our position as the leader in powering national and international high-profile events. The companies that hire us know that regardless of experience, we still scrutinize the planning of each event and meticulously examine every component seen and unforeseen that’s involved in powering events of this scale,” said Gary Meador, Head of National Event Services, Aggreko North America.

Aggreko’s previous successes include the 2014 FIFA World Cup, the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, numerous PGA Championships, and U.S. Open golf tournaments.
