Amec Foster Awarded Contract to Support Heathrow Airport Expansion

Amec Foster Wheeler has officially announced that it has been awarded a contract by Heathrow Airport Limited to help secure permission for the building of a third runway.
For this Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project, Amec Foster Wheeler has been appointed as an Integrated Design Team partner and will provide a suite of services to support Heathrow in its application for a Development Consent Order to expand the airport. This will include technical advice and support for environmental, design, engineering and consenting consultancy over the next three years.

Heathrow’s expansion is part of a growing portfolio of major infrastructure projects for Amec Foster Wheeler, which includes HS2 and Thames Tideway Tunnels. This is a major award that aligns with the company’s plans to target growth in its Environment and Infrastructure business by supporting major projects around the world.
