Anadarko holds approximately 350,000 net acres in the Wattenberg field and estimates it holds 1 to 1.5 billion BOE of recoverable resources on its acreage, with an additional 500 million barrels of potential with optimized spacing. The Wattenberg field has all the ingredients of a premier asset: established infrastructure, experienced personnel, more than 30 years of operating history, a growing resource opportunity and mineral-interest ownership via the Union Pacific Railroad Land Grant.

The company has made a huge investment in Colorado, having invested an additional $5 billion in capital from 2007 to 2013 and employing more than 1,300 men and women with offices in Denver, Platteville and Evans.

For every new horizontal well Anadarko drills, Coloradans receive more than $320,000 in severance and ad valorem tax revenue that funds K-12 education and other public services.
