Equinor receives consent to use Martin Linge B facility

Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) have now given Equinor consent to use the Martin Linge B facility.

The Martin Linge field is in the North Sea, close to the UK sector, 42 kilometres west of the Oseberg field. Water depth in the area is 115 metres. Martin Linge was proven in 1978, and the plan for development and operation (PDO) was approved in 2012.

Martin Linge is in development, with Equinor as the operator.

The development concept is a fully integrated production facility with a steel jacket – Martin Linge A, and a floating oil storage and offloading unit (FSO) – Martin Linge B.
