The European Liquid Gas Congress (ELGC) returns in 2024 with an exciting addition: the first-ever European Awards Ceremony, which has opened for submissions since February 2024.
From 18-20 June 2024, top industry experts, policymakers, and leaders from across Europe and worldwide will gather at the European Liquid Gas Congress in Lyon, France, to explore the latest developments shaping a positive trajectory for the liquid gas sector.
The 2024 ELGC aims to capture the momentum of recent years, in which the liquid gas sector has made significant strides in innovation, research and development (R&D), security of supply, renewable alternatives, and safety. The European Awards Ceremony – known as theAWARDS – aims to highlight some leading examples of these achievements.
By entering the AWARDS, contestants have the unique opportunity to:
- Showcase their latest innovations, working practices and commitment to sustainability, amid a European landscape moving towards carbon neutrality.
- Present their achievements as best examples to a European and global audience.
- Forge collaborations and partnerships with industry peers.

Categories for submissions
Held during the Gala Dinner, theAWARDS will recognise individuals, teams, researchers, and organisations that have dedicated their expertise to advancing the liquid gas sector.
In total, six areas will be awarded, honouring:
- The Leader – individuals who have shown exceptional leadership, vision, and impact in the sector.
- The Innovator – products, processes, and operational methods that have brought a sense of novelty and vitality into the industry.
- The Safety Guardian – projects or campaigns demonstrating progress in safety standards.
- The Researcher – Research and Development (R&D) initiatives carried out in partnership with academic and research institutions.
- The Sustainable Driver – products or processes that enhance an organisation’s sustainability performance.
- The Renewable Pioneer – innovative offerings, processes, or campaigns that contribute to the accessibility of renewable liquid gases.
Submissions for these categories will be open from January to March 2024.

The European Liquid Gas Congress in June 2024 will provide an opportunity to discuss the latest trends and developments with leading experts from the LPG industry.
The Congress will provide a comprehensive platform for industry professionals to engage, learn and network.
