Gas for Africa to highlight Africa’s strategic role in the global energy conversation

The Gas for Africa initiative is officially launching. Designed to elevate the continent’s natural gas narrative, this high-impact platform offers decision-makers and stakeholders a powerful combination of data, insights, and compelling content—positioning Africa at the center of the global energy transition.

Why Gas for Africa Matters
Africa holds a significant share of the world’s natural gas reserves, yet its full potential remains underdeveloped. Gas for Africa aims to unlock this potential by:

  • Providing a comprehensive gas intelligence hub, including project dashboards, country & market
analysis, company presentations, and real-time data.
  • Highlighting scalable, successful gas projects from across African markets.
  • Mobilizing regional and international investment, fostering collaboration and knowledge
    exchange.
  • Mobilize regional and international stakeholders for financing, investment, and cross border
    collaboration.

This campaign is about telling Africa’s gas story — the real story — from the perspective of African stakeholders who are building the infrastructure, investing in the value chain, and solving local energy challenges through gas.

By amplifying authentic African voices—interviewing key figures, from government ministers to industry leaders—the initiative reframes how natural gas is perceived: as a sustainable industrial growth engine, a means to expand energy access, and a cornerstone of a just energy transition.

This launch builds on the Gas for Africa Manifesto unveiled in Cairo in 2023 and continues to attract widespread support from leading organizations engaged in gas processing, LPG distribution, power generation, and infrastructure development.

Through a strong digital presence, a dynamic resource platform, and live activation at major industry events, Gas for Africa brings together public and private sector leaders to showcase African ingenuity and drive transformative change.
