Qatar Petroleum gives recognition to 947 long-serving employees. Qatar Petroleum (QP) recently held the second part of the Continuous Service Awards Ceremony to honor 947 employees who have been serving the corporation for the past 10 and 15 years. The ceremony, held under the patronage of Mr. Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, the President and CEO of QP, gave recognition to 487 employees who have recorded 10 years of service thus far and 460 staff who have been part of the corporation for the past 15 years.
The awardees came from QP’s various directorates and included a large number of Qatari nationals as well as citizens of many other countries, reflecting the diversity of QP’s multinational workforce. They are based in the corporation’s major areas of operations in Doha, Dukhan, Mesaieed, Ras Laffan, Halul Island and offshore production stations.
Addressing the honored employees during the event, Mr. Abdulaziz Mohammed Al-Mannai, Executive VP for Human Capital, said rewarding commitment and long service is a basic cornerstone in QP’s efforts to enhance employee welfare and engagement through an inclusive work environment that also recognises high performance.
Mr. Al-Mannai said “I must stress that you are all our source of strength through your commitment, dedication, and most importantly, your diversity. In this context, we are very proud of this diversity which brings together people from more than 80 countries into this great professional melting pot.”
Mr. Al-Mannai presented some of the awardees with a Certificate of Appreciation and a gift as a token of gratitude for their dedication and many years of service with the corporation. Other QP Vice Presidents and senior officials then took turns in distributing the certificates and gifts to honored employees from their respective directorates.
This week’s CSA Ceremony was the second to be held by QP this year to honor its long-serving employees. It followed the first CSA Ceremony 2017, which was held last week, to recognize a total of 339 employees who have already achieved career milestones of 20, 25, 30, 35, and 40 years of service with the corporation.
In addition, as part of this year’s recognition program, a total of 367 QP employees will also be receiving Certificates of Appreciation for having completed 5 years of service thus far.
Organized by QP’s Public Relations and Communications Department in partnership with the Human Capital Directorate, the CSA Ceremony 2017 was held at the convention hall of the QP Headquarters in West Bay. The annual event is one way by which QP recognizes the valuable contribution of its employees in the corporation’s extensive operations in the oil and gas industry.
