Registrations open for 2017 Asia-Pacific International Mining Exhibition (AIMEX)

Registrations have opened for Australia’s most extensive mining exhibition, the Asia-Pacific International Mining Exhibition (AIMEX), running from 29 – 31 August 2017.

Visitors will have unrivalled access to leading industry minds via the free-to-attend conference program, featuring world-class keynote presentations, case studies and white paper discussions on key themes:

  • Economic and political outlook for mining;
  • Technology and innovation and what this means for businesses;
  • Automation and digital advancements to improve operational efficiency and maintenance;
  • Advancements in drilling and blasting, processing and bulk materials handling;
  • Fleet performance and tyre management; and
  • Occupational health and safety.

NSW Mining Chief Executive Stephen Galilee, General Electric Strategic Account Development Manager Ian Larsen and Mining3 Chief Executive Professor Paul Lever have already been confirmed as 2017 speakers, with the full conference program set to be revealed in the coming weeks.

Key to its development has been organisers’ close consultation with the mining industry, spearheaded by the recently appointed AIMEX Non-Executive Chairman David Moult. Moult brings decades of global coal mining experience to the role, including experience as Managing Director and CEO for Centennial Coal.

“The ability to connect face-to-face is still so vital to business development and events like AIMEX enable you to do this in a time efficient manner. Being able to connect and interact with companies and their products is invaluable,” said Mr Moult.

AIMEX will also feature ‘The Breakthrough’: a new platform showcasing emerging technologies that have the ability to provide significant benefit to the mining sector. This new-to-market technology has only been released in the last 18 months and this feature will see these technologies launch on mass to the sector.

AIMEX Event Director Brandon Ward said the Asia-Pacific International Mining and Engineering Exhibition was the leading event for the mining sector, with its scale offering an unparalleled opportunity for the industry to upskill, network and generate new business leads and opportunities.

“No other event in the region has the same offering for visitors to network, collaborate and learn from one another, interact with over 300 exhibitors and discover some of the latest products from leading suppliers,” Mr Ward said.

“The free to attend conference, The Future of Mining, offered as part of the exhibition has been shaped by leading industry minds. This program features leading opinions on how people will work in the future, advances in new technologies and process improvements as well as taking a deeper focus on where the sector is heading.”

The Asia-Pacific International Mining Exhibition will run from 29 – 31 August 2017 at the Sydney Showground, Sydney, Australia. To register for AIMEX 2017, please visit www.aimex.com.au.
