Repsol Norge receives consent for a change to the area contingency plan for Gyda field

Repsol Norge AS has received consent for a change to the area continency plan for Gyda.

Repsol Norge AS (Repsol) is the operator of the Gyda field, in the southern North Sea between Ula and Ekofisk. The field has been developed using an integrated facility with a steel jacket in 66 metres of water.
To date, Gyda has cooperated with BP (now AkerBP) by sharing an emergency response vessel between the Ula and Gyda facilities. Analyses have shown that prudent emergency response can be provided by the Gyda field’s own MOB boat. In this respect, improvements have been made to the MOB boat in accordance with the recommendations in the analyses.
The PSA has granted Repsol consent for this change.
