Last December, 195 countries reached an historic agreement to tackle climate change. The World Bank President, Jim Kim met with several climate leaders this week to talk about how they can turn these commitments into action on the ground.
“The agreement in Paris sent a clear signal to markets, public officials, and investors that low-carbon growth is the future. Market forces will drive this agenda forward, and there will be greater potential to invest in renewable energy than ever before. The job ahead is our shared responsibility—the future of our children and grandchildren depend on it, say Jim Kim.”
