Devon Energy Named as Best Workplace in Canada
Devon has been named to the Globe & Mail’s list of the Best Workplaces in Canada for 2015. The company ranked No. 26 in the Large and Multinational category. The Globe and Mail published the lists for large and medium employers in a special national report on Friday, April 10.
How rankings were determined
Two-thirds of the scoring and evaluation process for the annual list comes from an anonymous survey of each company’s employees. Questions included those related to credibility, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie.
The remaining one-third of the evaluation process is based on each company’s responses to a series of detailed questions concerning management policies and practices.
The annual best-workplaces list is the most widely adopted workforce satisfaction tool in Canada. In addition to the Large and Multinational category (for companies with 1,000 or more employees), the Medium category honors top companies with 50-999 employees.
