Amec Foster Appoints New President, Upstream Business Development
London, UK – Amec Foster Wheeler has officially announced the appointment of George Hernandez as President, Upstream Business Development, effective immediately.
Reporting to Jeff Reilly, Group President, Strategy and Business Development, George will be based in the company’s Houston office. In this global role, George will drive the company’s upstream growth strategy, develop long-term relationships with new and existing key customers, and will also play a key role in the development and pursuit of key opportunities.
Commenting on George’s appointment, Jeff Reilly said: “George has a successful track record in business development and key account management experience in the upstream oil and gas arena, combined with a very strong operations background. I am delighted to welcome him to such a key role for our business.”
Immediately prior to his appointment, George had been Vice President Operations and Business Unit General Manager for WorleyParsons’ upstream business since 2013. Previously, George held senior operations and business development roles with WorleyParsons, and preceding that held a business development role with Wood Group Mustang. He started his career at UOP in project management, working on a number of refining, petrochemical and natural gas projects.
George has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois (Chicago).
