Full relieving regulator offers enhanced downstream safety
Newell, W.Va.—New for 2019, BelGAS has introduced the Type P212 Gas Pressure Regulator. Designed by BelGAS engineers, this full relieving regulator is ideal for medium commercial applications such as restaurants, strip malls and shopping plazas, and condominium developments. This direct operating, spring-loaded, adjustable regulator is made in the U.S.A.
Token regulators are often used in these kinds of applications, but they don’t offer the same protection. As a full relieving regulator, the P212 enhances downstream safety by keeping pressure lower in the event of failure. It also features a BelGAS exclusive component, the flow director. It directs flow downstream to boost forward flow and, if there’s excess pressure, directs it to the internal relief.
This direct operating, spring-loaded, adjustable regulator is made in the U.S.A. and built on the reliable and time-tested P202 platform. It has been enhanced to offer, when used with a 2.5″ bonnet vent port, a full relieving regulator through the diaphragm relief device.
The P212 is available in pressure ranges from 2″ of water column up to 5 PSIG, ideal for use in applications requiring wide variations in pressure reduction. The BelGAS Type P212 is available flanged or threaded, and in a choice of ductile cast iron or WCB steel body.
