Fugro Geoservices receives High-Ranking Industry Award for consistent Health And Safety Achievement
Fugro GeoServices Ltd earns Gold Medal status in 2016 awards run by leading UK health and safety organisation RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents)
On-going commitment to health and safety excellence at Fugro GeoServices Ltd has been recognised with a Gold Medal in this year’s RoSPA Awards for Health and Safety.
Gold Medals are exclusively awarded in recognition of consistent year-on-year success in gaining Gold Awards in RoSPA’s Achievement Awards category. This is the eighth consecutive year that Fugro GeoServices has been merited with a Gold Award, leading to its recommendation by the RoSPA Awards Adjudication Panel for Gold Medal status.
The judging panel is made up of eminent professionals and experts in occupational health and safety from the public and commercial sectors and also academia.
Part of Fugro, a global leader in geo-intelligence and asset integrity solutions, the company was assessed on key areas of occupational health and safety performance. These included accident, ill health and enforcement data, and evidence of a good health and safety management system.
According to RoSPA, Gold Award winners have achieved “a very high level of performance, demonstrating well developed occupational health and safety management systems and culture, outstanding control of risk and very low levels of error, harm and loss”.
Steve Dadd, HSSE (Health Safety Security Environment) manager at Fugro GeoServices, said: “This award should be seen as a fantastic achievement.
