King Felipe VI of Spain to inaugurate Gastech 2018 in Barcelona
Gastech, the global exhibition and conference at the forefront of the international gas, LNG and energy industries, is delighted to announce that His Majesty King Felipe VI of Spain will officially inaugurate its 30th edition in Barcelona on Monday 17th September.
The event will be declared open by His Majesty The King in the opening ceremony which will include representatives from the host consortium which include Enagás, Naturgy, Reganosa, Cepsa, Repsol and Técnicas Reunidas alongside Christopher Hudson, President of Energy of dmg::events global energy. Gastech will play host to four days of panel discussions and presentations from ministers and the industry’s key global leaders, who will address the most important gas and LNG issues facing the industry.
The 2018 programme has been significantly expanded to encourage more debate, discussion and collaboration across the global industry through a series of panels led by some of the industry’s key influencers.
The event will include a multi-streamed conference with over 250 presentations by 350 speakers; a Plenary Stage, Strategic and Technical Conferences, a VIP Global Leaders’ Summit and four Specialist Conferences: Asia LNG Market Development Forum, LNG Trading & Procurement Forum, Diversity in Energy and Young Gastech.
During the first day of the conference, four global leaders’ panels are scheduled to take place, addressing issues such as the transitional impacts of the new energy landscape on the gas industry, the role of NOCs and IOCs in providing global energy security and the future of gas and LNG value chains.
This year’s Gastech will be co-located with GPEX 2018. The co-location will bring the global power and energy community together, to provide a platform to share expert knowledge, develop partnerships and showcase enabling and disruptive technologies, providing viable solutions for businesses adapting to the energy transition.
Gastech has become the most significant meeting place for gas and LNG professionals from all over the world to convene, learn and talk about the future of the global energy landscape. This edition will bring together more than 90 countries with over 700 global exhibiting companies and 30,000 visitors from across the up, mid and downstream gas, LNG and energy industries worldwide.
