LUKOIL COMMISSIONS DIGITAL SUBSTATION IN PERM REGION
LUKOIL commissioned its first digital power substation at the Chashkinskoye field in Perm Region. The new facility distributes and delivers electric power from a gas turbine power plant constructed to utilize associated petroleum gas.
Advanced process and control systems of the new digital substation allow data exchange through fiber-optic lines.
The project provided for a decrease in costs of cable infrastructure, and, as it envisages automated condition diagnostics of equipment, it also minimizes risks of any emergencies.
Backup of secondary equipment and communication channels enhanced reliability of the digital station, and tests proved the performance of the automated power distribution and process control system trouble-free.
Replication of the project will contribute to the reliability and quality of power supplies, and standard design solutions will allow a decrease in operational and capital costs.
