President Tinubu Appoints Minister Ekpo As Co-Chairman NCDMB Governing Council
In line with his commitment to establish a more efficient, targeted, and consistent approval process for unique oil and gas projects in the country, President Tinubu has approved the appointment of Rt. Hon. Ekperikpe Ekpo, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), as the Co-Chairman of the Governing Council of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB).
In a statement dated May 9, 2024, signed by Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, said the appointment is to ensure effective oversight of Nigeria’s gas assets.
He said, “The President remains committed to unlocking Nigeria’s immense gas potential to stimulate industrial development, job creation, and sustainable economic growth”.
Following this appointment, the Governing Council and Management team of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) now include:
(1) Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri — Chairman / HMS, Petroleum Resources
(2) Rt. Hon. Ekperikpe Ekpo — Co-Chairman / HMS, Petroleum Resources (Gas)
(3) Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe — Executive Secretary
(4) Oritsemyiwa Eyesan — Member / EVP Upstream, NNPCL
(5) Gbenga Komolafe — Member / CEO, NUPRC
(6) Bekearedebo Augusta Warrens — Member
(7) Nicolas Odinuwe — Member
(8) Rapheal Samuel — Member
(9) Sadiq Abubakar — Member
