PSA Releases Audit of Shell’s Project at Nyhamna
On 11 May 2015, the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) carried out an audit of Shell and the development project at Nyhamna within the disciplines of barrier management and risk management.
The object of the audit was to monitor how Shell is complying with the regulatory requirements for risk management and barriers, especially within the domain of technical safety in the development project at Nyhamna.
Result
Two non-conformities were identified in connection with:
- Risk-reduction processes
- Risk analyses
Shell has been given a deadline of 26 June 2015 to report on how the non-conformities will be dealt with.
Non-conformity:
Entails that a condition is assessed as not complying with a regulatory requirement.
Improvement point:
Entails that we have identified a deficiency or weakness, without there being sufficient grounds for determining a breach of regulatory requirements.
