NCDMB officially signed the agreement at the just concluded Practical Nigerian Content (PNC) held in Yenegoa, Bayelsa State on 29th November – 2nd December 2021, with the theme “Driving Nigerian Content in the New Dawn of the Petroleum Industry Act (PAI)”.
The agreement is part of NCDMB’s commitment to commence operations at the industrial park in the 4th quarter of 2022.
The Executive Secretary of NCDMB said, “The provision of reliable power generation and distribution was one of the key requirements to commence operations at the parks. The Nigerian Oil and Gas Industrial Parks in Cross River and Bayelsa states would be commissioned in the 4th quarter of 2022”.
NCDMB began the construction of the NOGAPs, with the goal of creating a regional low-cost manufacturing hub that would produce equipment components and spare parts that would be utilized in the Nigerian Oil and Gas industry.
According to NCDMB, provisions are also made to generate captive power in a bid to address the electricity challenge that faces most Nigerian manufacturers and businesses.
The Cross River park is located at Odukpani, while the Bayelsa industrial park is located at Emeyal-1, Ogbialand.
