IMPROVE SAFETY AND HELP SOLVE $1B PROBLEM FOR THE GLOBAL ELECTRIC UTILITY INDUSTRY
When an unexpected event causes a power plant outage, an entire city can become unplugged affecting millions of people. Due to extreme heat conditions during electricity generation, it can take up to 36 hours for a power plant to cool down to a level that someone with personal protective equipment can safely enter to inspect and repair equipment after an outage. It’s not only potentially hazardous work, but also increases the time it takes for us to begin generating electricity again. It’s estimated that hundreds of power plants are offline globally in part due to outage-related inspections representing more than $1 billion in lost power capacity.
ELIGIBILITY:
The Competition is open to all individuals over the age of 18 or the age of majority in said individual’s geographic location and to all validly formed legal entities in good standing which are permitted to participate by its charter or bylaws.
Employees and family members of Sponsors and any of their respective affiliates and subsidiaries
are not eligible to enter this Competition.
Responses from companies (small to large), academic researchers, other research institutes,

consultants, venture capitalists, entrepreneurs or inventors are welcome.
You are solely responsible for all hardware, software, and internet service connections and any
