ALD Automotive and E.ON to jointly develop energy mobility solutions
ALD Automotive, the leading vehicle leasing company in Europe, and E.ON, a leading European energy company, have signed a strategic partnership to jointly develop and market digital enhanced mobility, financing, and energy services. The partnership will focus on mobility offerings for electric vehicles for corporate customers, municipalities and private customers in Europe.
Through this partnership, ALD Automotive’s clients will benefit from E.ON’s dedicated e-mobility and energy solutions to enrich ALD Automotive’s electric vehicle service offerings and improve driver experience. The joint offering will include consultancy, planning, installation, operation and maintenance of future-proof charging infrastructure for corporate sites, on the go and home applications. The seamless data handling around electric vehicles and their underlying energy infrastructures for fleet management solutions will make the offering unique. The cooperation aims at making the transition to electric vehicles (Battery-Electric Vehicles and Plug-in-Hybrids) as easy as possible. Hereby, a full-service for fleets and private drivers of electric vehicles will be provided. Furthermore, the partners will jointly develop digital-enhanced e-car sharing solutions to enable the deployment of sustainable corporate mobility.
In addition, ALD Automotive and E.ON have signed a cooperation agreement to foster cooperation on a country basis. The commercial cooperation potentially covers joint activities in the following countries: Denmark, Germany, Sweden, Norway and the UK.
A unique electric vehicle leasing offer for private E.ON customers has been jointly launched this month. This aims at promoting the adoption of electric vehicles across the early adopter country Denmark. Customers benefit from the advantages of leasing the latest electric vehicles from a leading mobility provider, and E.ON’s intelligent energy home solutions. Moreover, EV drivers have access to the country’s largest charging network E.ON Drive, with 1,300 public charging spots. The all in one offering will be based on an attractive monthly subscription price. Denmark has ambitious climate objectives to support the sustainable transport sector. One objective is to reach 5.000 publicly accessible charging points by 2020 which is strongly supported by E.ON Drive.
In Norway, where the electrical vehicle market is developing even faster than anywhere in Europe, E.ON and ALD have also already launched a fleet solution partnership for corporates. The fleet solution simplifies electrification of corporate fleets in a very easy and convenient way by offering electric company car leasing on the same conditions as a conventional car with a fuel card for electricity. E.ON’s advanced billing solutions take care of all invoicing processes.
“Building an ecosystem of partners is core to our strategy and key to electrify mobility. Bringing together the experience and excellence from different industry sectors helps us to build unique solutions for everyday needs of our customers” states Andreas Pfeiffer, Global Domain Head of E-Mobility at E.ON. “ALD Automotive is one of those innovative partners that help us to create a better tomorrow. Based on our joint offerings, we already started the cooperation on a commercial level providing solutions to fleet and private customers in Europe,” he highlights.
“We are committed to providing innovative and sustainable mobility solutions to better meet our clients’ needs which includes the progressive implementation of responsible mobility offerings,” confirms John Saffrett, Chief Operating Officer of ALD. “This agreement fully supports ALD Automotive’s sustainable growth strategy to work with industry leading partners in order to broaden the company’s offering and enables us to benefit from E.ON’s market leading experience and expertise in the field of energy solutions to be a key player in the energy transition.”
