COPEX and PODS Summit Co-Located with ptc 2027 in Berlin
The 22nd Pipeline Technology Conference (ptc) will expand its role as a meeting place for the international pipeline community by hosting two co-located industry events for the first time.
Taking place from 26 to 29 April 2027 at the Estrel Congress Center in Berlin, Germany, ptc will welcome both Concawe’s COPEX seminar for European oil pipeline operators and the PODS Global Summit Berlin on Monday, 26 April, alongside the established ptc training courses.
COPEX brings together operators of Europe’s cross-country oil pipeline network, whose incident data has contributed to Concawe’s oil pipeline performance and spillage statistics since 1971.
The PODS Association maintains the industry-standard open data model used by pipeline operators worldwide to manage asset, inspection and integrity information.
With more than 100 pipeline operating companies already represented at ptc each year, the addition of these two events is expected to further strengthen operator participation and reinforce ptc’s role as “The Global Pipeline Event”, bringing together pipeline professionals from Europe and around the world.
At the same time, pipeline professionals are invited to contribute to the technical program through the international ptc 2027 Call for Papers, which remains open until the end of September 2026.
Abstracts are reviewed by the ptc Advisory Committee, an international panel of experts representing pipeline operators, service providers, research institutions and regulatory authorities.
Presentations are selected exclusively on technical merit, and submissions with a promotional focus are not considered.
The program for the ptc Conference will be announced in early December 2026. Following the event, all papers will be published as open-access articles in the “ptc Pipeline Open Knowledge Base” accessible via the events website which holds all conference papers dating back to 2006.
The 22nd Pipeline Technology Conference will continue its established four-day format. Monday, 26 April, will be dedicated to training courses and the co-located industry meetings.
From 27 to 29 April, delegates will participate in keynote presentations, technical sessions, panel discussions, operator and regulator round tables, and an international exhibition featuring approximately 100 companies.
The program will also include the Global Women in Pipeline Forum and the YPI Awards for young pipeline professionals.
