The Solar Future Nigeria At a Glance:
The 2 day conference, will once again bring together solar companies, international and local stakeholders, project developers, EPC’s IPP’s and manufacturers, financiers and investors and decision makers in one place for unparalleled networking opportunities and to discussing the sector’s challenges and successes, including local markets, capacity building and investment.
Nigeria Solar Market Outlook:
Nigeria is a country endowed with lots of natural resources to be energy independent. However, lack of investment in energy infrastructure over a long period of time has brought the sector to many challenges. The Nigerian Government have been taking several measures to revive the sector but it has still not yielded significant result in improving and providing efficient power supply to the entire nation.
Nigeria is well know as one of the biggest economies in Africa with over 170 million people, yet the country has been striving to provide a consistent power supply to the entire nation at large. As the Nigerian government and the private sector are increasingly turning towards renewable energy to solve the power outage problems, Nigeria is emerging to be one of the most attractive solar markets in the region.
The Solar Future Nigeria organized by Solarplaza will be covering the full solar PV electrification spectrum: from utility scale to pico-solar which will also enable foreign investors to gain valuable insight on the opportunities in the Nigeria’s solar future.
