WEOG Partners Belize to Host International Trade Mission in August 2022

International Forum for Women in Energy, Oil, and Gas (WEOG) in partnership with Belize Natural Energy LLC (BNE) will host a Trade Mission to Belize from Sunday 21st to Friday 26th August 2022. The event is a 4-in-1 outing to unlock new trade opportunities between the two countries in major industries, including energy, oil, and gas.

WEOG will lead a delegation of Nigerian business leaders, entrepreneurs, stakeholders, and industry players in the energy sector for the trade mission. The Belize International Trade Mission stands as a connecting point to strengthen the bilateral relations between Belize and Nigeria.

In a statement made known to The Energy Republic, the trade mission will feature educational and capacity-building workshops to the oil production wells, marginal field operations, gas processing facility, Refining facility, access to Host Community policies, access to Local content policies, Virtual pipeline operations among others.

The Co-Founder and Chairperson of Belize Natural Energy Limited, Susan Morrice said, “This is an important VIP delegation to Belize. This business model has won many awards namely, The Green Award, Employer of the year and more recently the Global Get energy Award for making a sustainable difference in the local communities. We look forward to welcoming these important delegations of Energy dignitaries from Nigeria”

In her words, Dr. Dunni Owo, President of WEOG commented, “The Belize trade mission has a national transformational goal and objective of fostering an increased Local content development and Energy sector entrepreneurship even in the wake of global Energy Transition and Nigeria’s decade of gas. In view of the above, the mission shall host an array of International Energy Leaders to a special roundtable session targeted as a platform to discuss trending and current Energy sector strategies, innovation, challenges, and solutions”.

The event is scheduled to take off from Belmopan, the commercial capital of Belize with extensive networking sessions and a scheduled meeting with the Prime minister, as well as visiting various government parastatals, including the Ministry of Energy, Science, Technology, Environment, and Public Utilities, Belize state house, the National emergency management organization, and many more.
