Bridport Energy strengthens governance with new board appointments

Lagos, 9 November 2022: Bridport Energy announces the appointment of Engr. Ahmadu-Kida Musa and Alhaji Auwalu A. Ilu as Non-Executive Directors on its Board effective 1st October 2022. Both new directors bring extensive experience of the Nigerian logistics and oil & gas industries to the company as it prepares to start delivering LNG to the Nigerian market later this year.

Engr. Ahmadu-Kida Musa has over three decades of experience working in the oil & gas industry, with a long career at TotalEnergies. He has worked on several of TotalEnergies’ onshore and offshore gas projects in Nigeria, and most recently served as the Deputy Managing Director of TotalEnergies’ deep-water district in the country. He is the current chairman of Ponticelli Nigeria Ltd (PNL), and sits on the board of several companies, including TotalEnergies E&P Nigeria Ltd (TEPNG), Total Upstream Companies Nigeria (TUPNG), and Heirs Oil & Gas Ltd (HHOG).

On the other side, Mr. Ilu brings over 20 years of experience in the energy, maritime, and logistics industry. He is the current CEO of Ultimate Gas, an LPG company he started in the 1990s, and previously served as President of the Nigeria LPG Association. He currently sits on the board of Ilutex and Stallion Stevedores, two Nigerian maritime companies.
