Gazpromneft Marine Bunker — operator of Gazprom Neft’s marine fuels and bunkering business — has confirmed year-end sales of approximately four million tonnes in 2014 — an increase of 25 percent year-on-year. ‘On-board’ refuelling volumes increased by 43 percent, to 3.1 million tonnes.

Gazpromneft Marine Bunker continued to expand its presence on international markets throughout 2014, commencing bunkering operations in Latvia. The company also extended its geographical presence throughout Russia, commencing the supply of marine fuels at the river ports of Novosibirsk and Tomsk. Gazpromneft Marine Bunker is currently operating at international ports including Tallinn, Riga, and Constantza, as well as 19 sea ports and 13 river ports in Russia.

The Gazpromneft Marine Bunker tanker fleet, comprising eight directly-owned bunkering vessels, is fully compliant with all international conventions, and is licenced for marine freight transportation and the loading and offloading of hazardous goods at marine ports. The company’s bunkering fleet is entirely unlimited in its area of operations.

Gazpromneft Marine Bunker CEO Andrey Vasiliev commented: “The company’s strategic priorities in 2015 remain the supply of high-quality fuel, provision of services consistent with international standards, expansion of our own fleet, and extension of the terminal network. Starting this year, we will be paying particular attention to modernising the infrastructure of our terminal complexes, allowing us to optimise the logistics of delivering fuel and continue to improve the quality of our service.”
