OMV launched the “Technical Scholarship” in 2015 to encourage and inspire young women to engage in technical studies and professions. It is important for our company to increase the number of female applicants in engineering areas. We are convinced that a diverse team (in regards to nationality, gender, and age) can achieve best results by offering a variety of experiences to their Team.

this is for girls only! All A-Level female graduates, who are already enrolled in the first two semesters of a technical Bachelor study program, or who are about to enroll for the upcoming term.
After reviewing all applications, the candidates who meet our selection criteria will be invited for an interview. The best are then invited to our Assessment Center. This can be seen as a great opportunity for the applicants to present themselves individually and to convince OMV of their aspiration for a technical degree.

OMV will support you with 350 Euro per month for the minimum duration of your Bachelor study.
Therefore we request transcripts of records from you from each semester.
But not only do we support our female students financially – we also support them in all professional manners. Every summer OMV offers possibilities to do various internships and provides assistance for thesis-writing to beneficiaries.
Apart from your aspiration for technology, the requirements for the scholarship are: a completed A-Level diploma and a verifiable enrolment for a technical study at an Austrian University (which can be handed in until just before you start), such as Montanuniversität Leoben, Technical University of Vienna or University of Vienna. You have particularly good prospects with a study like Petroleum Engineering, Earth Sciences, Geosciences, Geophysics, Surveying and Geoinformation, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Technical Chemistry, and Process Engineering
