He continued, “We have different training programs; from engineering programs with high focus on technical and leadership skills to training programs on the job, followed by training overseas in different TechnipFMC centres. The training programs that we have implemented since the start of our operations in-country allowed us to have today a strong a skilled local team and that encourages us to continue our work to train and develop all our employees.
“Over the years, due to industry and local demands, TechnipFMC has been able to adapt to a continuously evolving environment. It is important to have a solid organization and business model that allow us to continue our activities and to maintain a service of quality and excellence to our clients.”
While speaking about TechnipFMC business strategies towards the COVID-19 pandemic, Filipa explained that the company complied to all Government guidelines and maintaining the highest standards for the health, safety and wellbeing of its employees and partners as well as managing client projects to maintain workforce readiness and minimize impacts on project execution schedules.
“We will continue to develop coordination and safety best practices, working with stakeholders to assure both supply chain and business continuity. Where possible, our operations continue, however, as the situation evolves, so too do our guidelines and policies. We currently have employees working remotely from home but also in our yards and workshops working on shift with strict compliance with all biosafety measures, which applies to all the Client representatives and other subcontractors we may need to have in our premises,” he added.
